My Approach

The most important thing for me is that we can build a relationship together that feels safe for you and helps me respond to you in a clear and useful way. All the research suggest that a good working alliance is more important than any particular method in finding useful ways for you to tackle your issues and challenges.

I am trained to work with both short-term problems or more deeply rooted historical issues that just don’t seem to ever go away. My approach is integrative and non-formulaic since I prefer to respond to you as an individual rather than ‘treat’ you according to some counselling textbook.

I like to think I am friendly and a good listener. However I also see my job as being real and if necessary challenging the way you think about life and the problems you face. Its like giving you a different angle on the way you think.

I could say more but you know the only real way to find out if we might be ‘good fit’ is to come along and spend an hour in ‘the chair’ ( its actually quite comfortable ). Then we just take it from there. So whether you are an individual struggling with life, a couple struggling with each other or a colleague struggling with your clients give us a call or send me an e-mail.
